Please can anyone tell me how to change the access and telnet password for a Cisco Catalyst WS-C3548-XL switch?

The Telnet password can be configured as follows

line vty 0 4

password XXXXX

Login

The privelege password can be configured in any one of the 2 ways

enable password xxxxxxxxx

enable secret xxxxxxxxx

Enablke secret is more secure and if configured will supercede the enable password

If you would like to change the enable password do the following:

switch(config)#enable secret "password" (It's more prefered than enable password)

To change the vty line password do the following:

switch(config)# line vty 0 4

switch(config-line)#password "telnetpassword"
