Password problem accescing routers!!

i have as of yesterday a strange problem concerning passwords.

Sometimes the password works for me, and others it does not, more often than not it doesn't. the other members in my team can access it fine using the same password, from their machines, but mine seems duff.

i get the password prompt and generally thats as far as i can get as the password is not accepted.

i have not got caps lock on, and i have checked no keys are broken by typing it into notepad. multiple times. iu have even tried copy and pasting the password, but to no success.

this problem occours no matter what device i try to attach to.

any ideas as this is severly effecting my work load!!

many thanks

Re: Password problem accescing routers!!

Hi,

there is something wrong on your PC, probably.

Are you using a console cable or Ethernet (Telnet) to connect to the router?

I suppose the Ethernet. So I'd check if your NIC is OK - are you able to work on the network without any problems connecting to other targets (web browsing, etc.)?

If the NIC is OK - are you using the same version of terminal emulation software as your colleagues do?

Regards,

Milan
