Any thoughts on how I can either recover or re-set the password on a 3640 router? I've tried the cisco doc, but no luck.

If you cannot view this then just reply and I or someone else will list out the steps. Good luck

Yes, I did read that, however, step 5 does not take me to ROMMON. All I get is the logon prompt.

if you are using NT with HyperTerminal, you have to have the proffessional edition which can be downloaded from Hilgraeve.com. The standard HyperTerminal does not send the correct break sequence in NT.
