Password Synchronisation between Network Devices and CW2K

Hi,

We have just started using CW2K, we are running the latest LMS bundle. We have currently been going through putting the telnet and enable passwords into RME for each network device. For security reasons we want to be able to change the passwords on a regular basis. My question is, once we setup a job to go and change the passwords out on the network, is there anyway to automatically update RME with the new passwords?

Regards

Mark Kelly

Re: Password Synchronisation between Network Devices and CW2K

If the password on the device changes after you have added into RME inventory, RME has no way of knowing automatically that the credentials have changed. You'll have to use Change Device Attributes to update the device credentials manually.

If you use RME/Netconfig to change the device passwords (Telnet/Enable/SNMP Strings), RME will automatically update it's database for you.
