Is there client of some sort available for Cisco routers to enable them to renew their own passwords which they fetch from a server? Something similar to NTP.
Changing passwords on 100 + routers becomes a tedious task.
Any suggestions welcome.
Thanks.

Have you considered TACACS+?

You can use the NetConfig GUI based application which part of the RME (CW2000) bundle to change the passwords on multiple devices, though it's not automatic.

Hi
How about creating a unix script to change the passwords using snmp. This script could be set up to change the passwords on a weekly/monthly basis using cron.
I've created some scripts to fetch the config from multiple routers using snmp, to make changes to configs via snmp is not much different. see link below
