Sir,
Security Audit has been done at our office. They have recommnended to load the patches for IPv6.
What my conern is that are there any patches available which we can upload in router ?
or we need to upgrade IOs in router which includes these patches...

Hi Friend,
If it is a Cisco router or switches there are no patch release like thing which you have with windows but yes there are IOS train release which mean if you are running for an example 12.1(1) then new release in same train will be
12.1(2) and 12.1(3) etc. with some enhancements
It may come up further with 12.2 train and 12.3 train also with all new features.

Hi
I feel you have been told to proactively act on the security notifications being given on the attacks on network which all are using IPV6.
The attacks may be targetted based on the flaws or the loopholes found..
do find the links on the same and in most of the cases its better to upgrage or migrate to the code in which the flaws are fixed..
