Phantom VLANs in CAT 6506 and related CAM table problem
Two CAT 65xx switches are connected by Ether-Channelled and Trunk Links 1/2 and 2/2. From CAT switch "A" I have no packet loss when pinging Servers connected to this switch. But I have packet loss when when pinging servers connected to CAT switch "B". The switches are running Hybrid CatOS 7.6(1) / IOS 12.1(13)E8.
When I look at the CAM table of Switch "A" I notice that the server in question is connected to port 5/9 and is on VLAN 11 which is correct. When I look at the CAM table of Switch "B" I notice that this same server is connected via Ether-channeled Trunk ports 1/1 and 1/2 but under VLAN colum it shows some funny uncogigured VLANs such as 45 or 2093 or some crazy VLAN number and there are two or three lines of output. I expect to see just one line output saying VLAN 11 and under ports I expect to see 1/1 and 1/2.
