One of our client is using WS-C2924M-XL-EN switches with 2-port 100base -FX module and these switches are connected back to back through fiber optic.
If we ping any switch from other switch then the time delay for ping is round about 2msec for some time and then suddenly this interval increases as 12, 30 and 45msec and then it comes back to 1 or 2msec. The values used are just for an example. I want to know what is the reason of this difference in delay. Is it a hardware problem or software or any other reason.
