PIX Special Port Forwarding

Hi All,

Can anyone give me a hand with the port forwarding capabilities of a PIX 501??

What I'm trying to do is forward port 3389 (windows terminal services) to a W2k server. I tried using access list settings in the GUI for this to no avail and I'm not familiar enough with PIX CLI to accomplish this yet.

I don’t think the PIX can redirect traffic to a specific port.

That sounds like you need to use the "static" command.

Maybe something like :

static (inside,outside) tcp 1.1.1.1 3389 192.168.1.1 3389

the new 6. x os can do that. Check out the new features on 6.x and see there. If anyone knows if I am correct please respond but I am sure I saw it documented that it can be done.
