I have a 6513 with IOS 12.1(11B)EX (Hubble 1). Following error message is coming up occassionally for last few days. Can any one help me in decoding this. Also what type of error messages are covered under "MLS".
Aug 2 02:47:37: %MLS_STAT-SP-4-IP_LEN_ERR: MAC/IP length inconsistencies
Thanks,

This message indicates that there are incorrect IP packets incoming on the
system. ie. the length of the frames is incorrect. This is likely due to bad packets generated by rogue machine or some kind of traffic generator

Thanks and apprecaite if you can be of further help.
1. This switch is in production (recently deployed).
2. There is no traffic generator.
3. We get couple of such messages each day.
4. We do not have any customer and the only fast ethernet port is up at this stage connects to a network with too many hosts. Can we find out IP/MAC of machine which is generating this message ? No, we cannot have a sniffer there nor can we shut these machines.
Thanks,
Nadeem
