policy-based routing

If I just turned on the policy-based routing on a interface, does it mean only that interface will be process-switched? If I turn it on by using the "ip local policy route-map" command, then the whole switch will be turned to process-switched, is that the case?

I don't know if packets generated by the router itself (which are the only packets that 'ip local policy route-map' applies to) are CEF-switched, however, regardless of whether they're policy-routed or not. Someone else may have some insight on that.

In fact I am trying to turn on the PBR on MSFC2? Do you think MSFC2 will also be CEF-PBR?

Good question. If I had to bet either way I'd say yes, but it's purely a guess. If you post your IOS version one of the Cisco folks here may be able to give you a definitive answer. If not you'll have to either ask TAC or just try enabling it and seeing for yourself if packets matching a policy are CEF-switched (http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/105/cef_whichpath.html can help here).
