Policy routing

Hi,

We have an Qos issue with a customer which we would like to resolve in the following way :

I would like to have a route-map which have several statements/action for 1 packet.

Ex:

A packet enters on a 2800 router (ex fa0/0) from PC A. On this interface I configured a policy map with the following statements

route-map test permit 10

match ip address PC A

set dscp bit to 48

route-map test permit 20

match dscp 48

set ip next-hop router X

Will the route-map act on the previous action or will it set the dscp bit and then forward the packet out of the interface ?

Re: Policy routing

Wim,

Once the route-map encounters a match, it will not evaluate any further route-map clauses. However, you can achieve the desired effect by doing the following:

route-map test permit 10

match ip address PC A

set dscp bit to 48

set ip next-hop router X
