Poor performance with PPP multilink over ISDN

Hi,

I am having a problem with a remote site that is using ppp multink over ISDN. Basically when the second channel comes up the users are experiencing worse response times than when only using 1 channel. The remote router is a 1003 ver 11.0(6). The local router is a 4500 ver 11.0(6) with a PRI. The multilink connects OK. This is the only site running multilink. The router configs are "vanilla flavoured". The only commands related to multilink are ppp multilink for the appropratre dialer on the 4500 and ppp multilink and dialer threshold 1 either on the 1003. If anyone can cast some light on this problem I would appreciate it.

11.0 is bit old ios now since we have 12.2 now available..I am not saying that 11.0 is bad but its better to have atleast 11.3 or 12.0 to troubleshoot those kind of issues effectively... Try to go for atleast one of that..Tejal

Thanks for that suggestion Tejal, I will try it when I can arrange after hours access at the the remote site
