Port Debounce

I understand what port debounce does.. (i.e. delaying the amount of time that the port sends a link-change to the supervisor engine.. etc) and the negative impact it can have on an operational network (convergence issues, etc)

What I don't understand is why & in what instances you would want to use this feature?

One reason I can think of is if you have difficulty maintaining link to the NIC card. See resolution 3 in the following page
