Hi,
We have ethernet switching network consits of 14 switches of 5500 and 6500.
In last two three months we are facing the error disable problem,it only happens in Laptop's port or manager's port becuase they use laptop....they used to go from one place to anthore and any time this may occure.
Please suggest me how to troubleshoot this.We have not changes any configuration on the switch.

I had similar problem on GBIC port on C3550. I have 2x C3550 connected via GBIC. One of them had this problem, initially my support company replaced that C3550. We had stable network for a month but it happen again. Now we have managed to identify it was one of the GBIC card. We have replaced the GBIC card and everything is OK now. I guess you may have a faulty port etc. If you think Switch port is OK then check the laptop cable/adapter etc.
