Port filtering over cat 5500 doesn't function as documentation says

I'm using a catalyst with CatOS 5.2(4) equipped with some Token Ring module (release 3.2(4)).

I'm doing port filtering to deny some MAC address as source or destination.

Documentation says that the MAC filter is checked on input port so I put a MAC filter to allow (permit_dst) all the frame sent to this address and nothing else.

Well all the frame at this point has been blocked for this address.

Any idea on this filtering function (bug ?).

Thanks

Marco

I haven't actually used the port filter against a Token Ring interface, but have you tried bit-swapping the address?

Why I should bit swap the address if I'm working on a Token Ring port to filter an address toward another token ring port ?

I needed to open a case for this issue discovering that effectively filtering on token ring ports is not exactly as explained on the documentation. It seems you need to specify always source/destination MAC pair in the filter.
