ppp callback with dialer profiles

Is it possible to do ppp callback with dialer profiles or does ppp callback only work with legacy DDR. I can get it to work with legacy DDR, but with dialer profiles the only type of callback that I can get to work is the dialer caller callback not PPP callback and the documentation only shows ppp callback with legacy DDR so I was wondering if that is the only way to do it.

Re: ppp callback with dialer profiles

Should work fine. You need to specify a class with the "dialer string", and then configure a global map-class and allow for callback; ie

int di 1

dialer string 123 callback

!

map-class dialer callback

dialer callback-server username

That is how I configured it, but it does not work.

Re: ppp callback with dialer profiles

This is what you should investigate then. On the DP router:

conf t

serv time deb da ms

serv time log da ms

exit

debug dialer

debug ppp neg

debug callback

debug ppp cbcp

This debug should print a message which serves as a red flag, indicating why callback is not occuring.
