ppp connection drops when the "dialer timer"value is reached

Although there is an activity on the ppp (bri) line (continous ping), connection is always dropped when it reaches the "idle timer" value. The interesting traffic is "ip any any".

Make sure you have the correct "dialer-

group #" configured, where the # is the

same as your global "dialer-list #".

Otherwise, I would make sure you have recent

code (say latest 12.1). If you want to

avoid an upgrade, as a workaround you can

try disabling fast-switching ("no ip

route-cache"), that may help.
