I currently have a customer that is using the integrated Windows 9x VPN client to VPN into a Cisco router with a local user database.
The Windows 9x box sends the domain in the format domain\username. I have no control over what the domain name will be and would like to either have the customer configure the Win 9x box to not send the domain or have the Cisco strip and/or ignore the domain when authenticating to the local user database.
Can anyone who is more familiar with ppp authentication issues point me to the solution to this problem.
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
