PPP Link Fragmentation and Interleaving

When using Multilink PPP fragmentation, using the command ppp multilink fragment-delay, Do Multilink PPP adjust the payload fragment to account for the headers? Does it mean the delay value creates a fragment relative to the physical bandwidth? If the IP packet were fragmented to this alone, then the PPP header would make the overall frame larger than desired.

Re: PPP Link Fragmentation and Interleaving

The ppp fragment already accounts for the ppp header at layer two in the frame sent out for transmission

If you put 10msec on the fragment-delay, mlpp would make sure that the frame encapsulated with fragmented upper-layer data would not take more than 10msec to be transmitted across the link.

The frame-size is put together with respect to the mlppp header.
