pre load new IOS on pcmcia flashcard from laptop.

Is it possible to pre load new IOS's on a pcmcia flashcard from my windows 2000 based laptop. Or are the files sytems completely differnt (win2k vs. cisco filesyste)? I am loading the flashcard into my laptops pcmcia slot.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I believe the only cards that you can do what you are trying to do with are the ATA Flash Disk PCMCIA cards. I do not think that this is supported with the non ATA flash cards.

As far as I know, this will fail because the filesystems are totally different. You cannot download an image on a PCMCIA using a PC and then use it in a router.

File format even differs between some routers/switches.
