Pre-Sales Q: 1721 Modules Required for PtP T1 and Integrated T1

Setting up a new branch office that is to have integrated T1 to the internet, and a Point to Point T1 to the main office. The PtP will carry data between the two PBX switches, and data from workstations to the server at the main office. I'm presuming the 1721 is the correct choice for the job, and the one at the new office will require two T1 modules while the one at the main office will require one T1 module. I am asking for some basic assistance here to see if I am on the right track.

The 1721 supports upto two WIC's (including T1/E1) and should meet your physical connectivity requirements. What you also need to look at is the other services such as IPSec that you might deploy at later stage and if the routers performance will match your expectations then. The data sheet for the 1721 is located at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/routers/ps221/products_data_sheet09186a00800920ec.html.

The support page for the 1700 is located at http://www.cisco.com/pcgi-bin/Support/browse/psp_view.pl?p=Hardware:1700
