prefix-list

how to match a prefix-list statement that would permit anything with /22 and above

i.e. from 10.10.128.0/22.....to /32

I found two different ways to do it

1. ip prefix-list TEST seq 5 permit 10.10.128.0/22 le 32

2. ip prefix-list TEST seq 5 permit 10.10.128.0/21 ge 22 le 32

what are the difference? or which one is bettter

Thanks...Jey

Re: prefix-list

The first entry will match any prefix that matches 10.10.128.0/22 with any mask length from 22 to 32.

The second entry will match any prefix that matches 10.10.128.0/21 with any mask length from 22 to 32.

For instance, Entry 2 would permit 10.10.132.0/24 whereas Entry 1 would deny it.

Hope this helps,

Re: prefix-list

No the first one would match prefix-length of 22 to 32 whereas the second one 23 to 32.
