Hello,
I checked the doc and it seems that the Cat3550 doesn't support private VLANs like the Cat6500, but there is another feature called protected ports. Can someone confirm me tthis?

Yes. the 3550 provides the feature of protected ports similar to isolated ports of CAT OS implementation of PVLANS
