Private VLANs

Hi

We would like to use the private Vlan feature to isolate ecommerce server on a segment and avoid buying mutliple nics for the firewall.

We have server A for example connected to switch A and server B (backup of A) connected to switch B. Server A and Server B will obviously be in the same community. Switch A and B are connected via a trunk port. Do we need to do something special in order for the PVlan to work across the two switches or a simple trunk will do the trick like with Vlans?

Another question: Can a port be part of mutliple PVLAN communities at the same time?

Thank you for helping.

Re: Private VLANs

The VLANs themselves trunk normally, just make sure you trunk over all the VLANs involved with the Pvlan.
