Problem with connections on 6148 gig module in 6509.

We are running a 6509 with a Sup1a-2ge. The CAT IOS version is 7.6(1).

We have just installed a WS-X6148-GE-TX board. When we move a workstation or server to this board, we can ping all other workstations and servers. But if we try to telnet to anything that is not part of one of the vlans on this switch, we cannot reach it.

The module is configured with basic configuration, except to add the ports to the correct vlans.

Other modules in this switch are not having any problems.

We have a open bug for this type of card which cause some issues

Thanks, I'll download the fixed version to see if this will fix our problem.

We did narrow it down a bit. It seems that telnet will only fail when going through a GRE tunnel. When not going through the tunnel, telnet works fine. What also failed was Windows Terminal Server.

I'll post tomorrow if this patched software fixes the problems.
