Problem with MLS

I have two IP Mux's connected over a LES between sites. These two devices are churning out 5 MB each. The way I have them connected is identical at both sites. The MUX connects into a 6513 switch, which in turn connects to VLAN 4 on an MSFC. Then the LES circuit is configured for VLAN 841and runs between the two 6513's.

I have configured MLS to run on all four interfaces with the following results.

Both Mux's send 5MB, Vlan 4 at site B recieves 5MB from the Mux, but is also sending 5MB meaning it is not MLSing. The other site, which is configured identically is not doing this, VLAN 4 is sending a few Kb, which means that most of the traffic is getting switched and therefore not hitting the router interface.

Can anybody offer any reasons why in one direction MLS will work fine, but in the other direction it will not?

Thanks very much in advance,

Daniel,

Re: Problem with MLS

Do you have HSRP or ACLs? There could be some problems running MLS with these.

You could check the info in this doc about ACLs with MLS and also for bugs using the Bug Toolkit.
