Problem with Multilink and Cisco 3600 serie

Our Router calls the internet through a ISDN line. When we use multilink after a 2 hours the link stops and we have to reset the module or router. Then it works fine for a while until the problem yet occurs. When we only use one channel of the ISDN line it works fine. What can be the problem?

Has anyone seen this problem before?

Thanks

Re: Problem with Multilink and Cisco 3600 serie

We need to debug the issue for why the links went down. We need to troubleshoot that ppp multilink problem.

Here is the best url for that

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/131/mppp-ddr.html

Does the 2nd b channel ever comeup and added to the bundles at client router? Here is the url for "Troubleshooting Second B-channel Call Failures on ISDN BRI Links"

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/471/ppp_multilink_ts.html

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/131/multippp_add_bchannels.html

See if those links helps to troubleshoot the issue.

Configure "dialer load-threshold 2" under the interface dialing to internet so that both the links can come up one aftre the other. Collect the following debug when both the links come up

debug isdn q931

debug dialer

debug ppp nego

debug ppp multilink

Once both the links come up, issue

sh users

sh ppp multilink

Post it here with config and version of image.
