These are the logs we are getting on a C6509 connected with a 3524:
2003 Mar 27 17:04:26 EET +02:00 %CDP-4-NVLANMISMATCH:Native vlan mismatch detected on port 3/25
2003 Mar 27 17:34:26 EET +02:00 %CDP-4-NVLANMISMATCH:Native vlan mismatch detected on port 3/25
2003 Mar 27 18:04:27 EET +02:00 %CDP-4-NVLANMISMATCH:Native vlan mismatch detected on port 3/25
2003 Mar 27 18:34:27 EET +02:00 %CDP-4-NVLANMISMATCH:Native vlan mismatch detected on port 3/25
2003 Mar 27 19:04:28 EET +02:00 %CDP-4-NVLANMISMATCH:Native vlan mismatch detected on port 3/25
But we don't have any trunking configured on both sides!!!

Hi,
I think I've found the bug descriptions on CCO.
See bugs CSCdt90642 (Cat3500 not sending native VLAN info in CDP v2)and CSCdw38221 (explaining that CDP-4-NATIVE_VLAN_MISMATCH error is an expected behaviour).

Milan

Hi Milan,
I can confirm that downgrading the software to 12.0(5.3)wc(1) has resolved the issue. Many thanks for your input on this.

Hi Atul,
but 12.0(5.3)wc(1) is the version containing the bug - CDP v2 not sending native VLAN info.
So downgrade is some kind of workaround - error messages are not sent anymore - but if you upgrade in the future you'll get the messages again.
Regards,
Milan
