Problem with STP in L3 and HSRP environnement

Hi

I Have a network with 2 - 3550/L3 and about 20 - 2950 switch inter-connected.

HSRP is configured.

Since one month every 24 hours we have STP event that

provide a STP calculation.

The time in de day sometime change but the interval beetween the STP event is alwas 24 hours long.

I would like to know what network parameter is fixe on 24 Hours that I could

observe to find the originn of my problem ?

There is no network parameter fixed on a 24 hour timer, at least in a Cisco box. More likely there is some external device (server, host, etc) doing some process at that time, or perhaps people logging in all at once, etc.

If it is so reliable, you should be able to put a sniffer on your vlans & figure out what kind of traffic is hitting the switches at that time - it could be a broadcast storm etc.
