Problems upgrading 2600 flash & bootrom

I have several 2620's that I need to upgrade to 32mb of Flash. With the Flash upgrade, comes a ROM chip. The problem occurs when I replace an older ROM chip with the newer chip included with the flash. When we boot the router, we see absolutely nothing on the console screen even after waiting 3 minutes. Any help is appreciated.

While replacing the ROM make sure that the pins are placed correctly.

Here is the link which describes how to upgrade ROM and FLASH

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/access/acs_mod/cis2600/hw_inst/hw_notes/2600mem.htm

Also try to boot the router with exhisting ROM and see what is the results,

Re: Problems upgrading 2600 flash & bootrom

Thank you for the reply. I am able to boot with existing ROM, but my concern is the documentation states you must use the 12.2(6r) ROM in order to upgrade a 2620 to 32mb. Is this the case?
