Providing redundancy to appletalk workstations

I have two routers on a segment and I would like to have them providing redundancy to my workstations when sending packets to another network, something like HSRP provides to IP. I do not know if this redundancy is provided automatically, by configuring the interface of this routers in this segment within the same zone and cable-range or an extra configuration should be made. I wonder if the ZIP would solve the problem, but as far as I know, it runs only when the workstation starts and not periodically.

Tks

Re: Providing redundancy to appletalk workstations

In Appletalk there's no seperate default gateway, The protocol RTMP will do it automatically.

So don't disable RTMP and it should work fine.
