PSU serial numbers

Is it possible to get the serial numbers of a PSU, from say a 6509 by using remote managment, lets say, by SNMP, telnet, using ciscoworks, etc ? Ciscoworks isn't bad at inventory managment, but swapping out faulty PSU's just means we still have an administrative burden.

No. The CLI command on the 6K does not list the PSUs serial#. CW2K won't show it either in the Detailed Device report for the reason just mentioned earlier. For CW2K, one alternate could be to use the device User Fields 1 thru 4 and manully populate these numbers. Then create your own custom reports and run them against these fields.
