PVLAN ( Private VLAN ) across Switches

I configured PVLANs in my CAT 6509 ( Primary & Secondary -Community) and tried to extend to another CAT 2924 XL switch through a Trunk port. The Host which is connected on 6509 promiscuous port (which is mapped for the primary VLAN) can be accessed from the host which is in 2924, but only from the Primary VLAN access ports but not from the Secondart VLAN access port. But according to cisco's doc. Primary, secondary PVLANs can be extended across the switces through Trunk. but in my case I am able to extend only the primary not the secondary. Any Ideas?! or am I missing something ?

Config details can be provided upon req.

Thanks

Paul

Re: PVLAN ( Private VLAN ) across Switches

You can extend both the secondary and primary VLAN. PVLAN is only supported in catalyst 6k and to implement the PVLAN, it has to be in one bridge group/one vlan to communicate L2 information. Troubleshooting will be more easier if you throw some more light into the configuration.
