QoS / IP Precedence propagation to eBGP peers

I have noticed that a Cisco 7206 is resetting IP Precedence to "000" on all packets. It seems that the router does so when sending traffic to eBGP peers only. Can somebody confirm? Is it possible to change this behaviour?

Re: QoS / IP Precedence propagation to eBGP peers

We once had an issue with the router not processing packets with precedence 0 when used with BGP. There is a document on QoS policy propagation with BGP. Might be of help to you.
