QOS Layer 2 or 3

hello everybody!

i need help in QOS, because its new for me.

we have desktop switches 2950G-24-EI with vlan configuration and the trunking protocol 802.1q to the 3550-12G core multilayer switches...now i will make a QOS only for Voice traffic, the voice traffic must have the higest priority, and the rest can be best effort. What is the simplest solution ? many thanks for the answers..

Re: QOS Layer 2 or 3

Nik,

I suggest you look at AutoQos for VoIP, which does a lot of this for you automatically, with the use of a single command.

Here's a link to configuring it:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/products/hw/switches/ps628/products_configuration_guide_chapter09186a00804ccfa3.html#wp1125412

Hope that helps - pls do remember to rate posts that help.
