QoS

Hello,

This is my first time using the cisco forum, I am not sure how this works or if it can help me. I am learning about QoS and the schemes for evaluating mechanisms for providing service differentiation in IEEE.802.11 wireless LANs. I am confused in what part the metrics play, and what different types of schemes are there? I know that there is the PCF, EDCF, and DFS, but does a Toke-Base related to schemes, and if so what metrics can be used with it? Or am I way off base with my analogy?

rather than going into the theory behind QoS (on which there are tons of documentation), have you got a particular scenario that you want to apply QoS to?
