The IDS module has all functionality of other IDS modules / Sensor boxes. The only diff is the rates(bandwidths) at which this module can operate on various routers. These can run upto 45 mbps, on the routers, starting with upto 10 Mbps on the 2600 routers. If you take a look at the 6000 series IDS blades, they can run upto 600 mbps.
