Question about Multicast in a Layer 2 Environment

Hello, we have a single Catalyst 4006 running an L2 sup. There are a few legacy hosts connected to this Catalyst at 10/half. We tried Ghosting over multicast and it brought the 10/half hosts to a very slow crawl. Is it possible to configure IGMP, CGMP, or any other protocols that will prevent multicast (sourced from high speed connections also residing in the same switch/same VLAN) from flooding the slower connections? Thanks.
