question for DLSW configuration

Hi,

There are two routers (A & B). Router A has an ethernet and a token ring interfaces. Router B has only an ethernet interface.

To configure DLSW, I have to configure SR translation bridge on router A as below:

source-bridge ring-group 100

source-bridge transparent 100 101 1 1

dlsw local peer-id 1.1.1.1

dlsw remote 0 tcp 1.1.1.2

dlsw bridg 1

int e0

bridg 1

int tokenring0

source 1 1 100

source spann

bridg 1 pro iee

On router B, I configure it as below:

source-bridg ring 100

dlsw local peer-id 1.1.1.1 prom

dlsw bridg 1

int e0

bridg 1

bridg 1 pro iee

My question is :

Do I need to configure "source-brigde ring" on Router B ? Is it neccessary for my configuration ?

Thanks in advance.

Rgds,

Ivan

No, you do not require the source-bridge ring on router B.

Re: question for DLSW configuration

Hi,

Do I need to enable SRT on the token ring switch ? Is it more appropriated bridge protocol then SRB as we have ethernet interfaces on the both routers?

Also, do I need configure "source-bridge spanning" on the TR interface on both router?

Thanks in advance.

Re: question for DLSW configuration

In your network on router B, you don't need to config "source-brigde ring" because it hasn't token-ring Interface.
