Questions on Device ID's in RME

My customer has following question.I did not find the answer on CCO web.

Problem Descripton:

The dba-user from CW2k is using some IDs in the database rme to link several tables together.

When the CW2k no more known the ex. 'device' then the ID for this 'device' will be delete from table ex. 'CISCO_CHASSIS'.

When the CW2k is seeing a new 'device' then a new ID will be create for this device.

q1. The CW2k will create every time a NEW ID in case of seeing a new device or

is the CW2k using also old (no more used) IDs ?

q2. In 2 weeks we will use 5th edition . Have we differences in the new edition?

CW2K database schema is not published and querying the db directly is also not supported. That's why there's no doc for this on CCO.
