Questions regarding caching on cisco routers

We have two HGW routers set up allocating addresses from two local-pools.

I noticed that previous allocations are cached (shown using show ip local-pool <pool name>.

Two simple questions really;

1. How long does the cache persist?

2. Can it be cleared ?

Any assistance would be gratefully received.

Rgds,

Ken Vance

Re: Questions regarding caching on cisco routers

Issue the below command to clear the IP address

clear arp-cache and

clear netbios-cache

If the abive doesn't work and if uou have configured for VPN kind of connectivity issue the command - clear cry isakmp sa.

Be cautious in a production network as it will clear all the IP address from the cache.
