"Module 2 not responding over inband" on 6513

Hi all,

I've got this trouble.

A 6513 with a couple of supervisor WS-X6K-SUP2-2GE and WS-F6K-PFC2.

Mod Port Model Serial # Versions

--- ---- ------------------- ----------- --------------------------------------

1 2 WS-X6K-SUP2-2GE SAD060300F5 Hw : 3.2

Fw : 6.1(4)

Fw1: 6.1(3)

Sw : 7.1(1)

Sw1: 7.1(1)

WS-F6K-PFC2 SAD060403EB Hw : 3.0

2 2 WS-X6K-SUP2-2GE SAD054304HW Hw : 3.10

Fw : 7.1(1)

Fw1: 6.1(3)

Sw : 7.1(1)

Sw1: 7.1(1)

WS-F6K-PFC2 SAD054406B3 Hw : 3.2

The logging buffer contains this error:

2003 May 13 15:24:20 CET +02:00 %SYS-2-MOD_NOINBANDRESPONSE:Module 2 not responding over inband

Every 20 minutes (avarage) I receive this strange message.

On Cisco site I've read that it should be a communication error of the supervisors maybe caused to a huge processor usage.

So I tested the supervisor 2 processor usage and I obtained thie very strange error (seems a stack overflow):

I decided to replace the supervisor on the 2nd slot, but the problem persists.

What have I to do? My next test is to change the 1st superviso.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Re: "Module 2 not responding over inband" on 6513

Before swapping any further hardware, I suggest that you upgrade software on this switch to fix bugs such as CSCdx03048. You are running FCS software in 7.x train. If you do not need the features of 7.x, 6.4(3) is the way to go. If you need to be in 7.x, I suggest that you read the release notes/bug tool kit and make a decision
