"rate limit" on a 4912g switch

Is it possible to rate limit a port on a 4912g (catos) gige switch to say, 400Mbps? I've seen service-policy on IOS switches, but can't find anything similar for catos. Some examples would be great.

My alternative is using CAR on a 6500 switch with a sup2 on vlan, however that's not quite the route I'd like to go. While on this subject, is anyone familiar with the impacts on the sup2 when using CAR?

CAT4912 does not support rate limiting. Sup2 with PFC2 in 6500 does not support rate limiting as well on ethernet/VLAN interfaces, but you can use policing(Sup2/PFC2 supports only ingress policing)
