"set tag" and "match tag" in ospf and eigrp

In all the route-map subcommands, what does "tag" reference in the "set tag" and "match tag"?

Re: "set tag" and "match tag" in ospf and eigrp

routing tag available in ospf and eigrp.

Useful when you have multiple point of redistribution

between 2 routing protocols.

This has nothing to do with mpls tag.

To see the effect, configure ospf and redistribute static into ospf

using a set tag command.

Then use 'sh ip ospf data ext x.x.x.x'

you should see the tag value somewhere.
