"show mac-address-table" and dot1dTpFdbAddress are different

Hi, I'm snmpwalk'ing dot1dTpFdbAddress on my Catalyst 3524 to retrieve its MAC address table, but it doesn't seem to give me all MAC addresses... Some MAC addresses, that I can see when I do "show mac-address-table", are missing from the output of snmpwalk. Please help. Tatsuo

I'll try and demonstrate the problem here. Below, "show mac-address-table" gives me the following two MAC addresses on FastEthernet0/8:

0006.296f.77c4 Dynamic 103 FastEthernet0/8

0006.298f.2e6b Dynamic 103 FastEthernet0/8

However, I can't find these MAC addresses when I do the snmpwalk (below).

Hi, keep in mind that your snmp-query only retreives the vlan1 members, If you want for e.g. retreive vlan2 members use public@2 for community name.

Are the ports in a different vlan?

Hi, May I ask for the exact syntax for this. I am trying to write a script to list out MAC address of user ports from a switch. Thanks in advance.
