"SynConfig" process on Cat4006

Hi

I 'm seeing 8% CPU used by the "Synconfig" process on a cat4006 running 6.1(1) which I think is quite high. Also this switch has got only one supervisor.

What does this process represent ? Config Sync?

Re: "SynConfig" process on Cat4006

Hi

Not sure specifically what the Synconfig process is. I have sent out an email to some others to find out. But in the meantime check out:

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/473/82.html

which explains CPU utilization on Catalyst switches. A number by itself without a baseline to compare it to is not definitive
