Has anyone expreienced any issues in regards to enable a fddi port on a module to 1gb full. The error that I get is "not supported on module 9" I verify the port is configuration on the port and the port is hardcoded for 1000/full. The problem the users are experincing is there are 2 host connected to the 4k via fddi and both ports are on the same module and both hosts (UNIX) can ping each other one at a time once the other host (HALF DUPLEX MODE).

The FDDI standard is only 100Meg and is a dual ring topology. You need to assure that your hosts are FDDI cabled correctly.It is a dual ring layout so the polarity of the cabling to the switch can be wrong. The FDDI standard uses a MIC fiber head but sometimes people breakout the fiber to panels that allow for the MIC connection to be broken out to two individual fibers. If these are not cabled correctly you may see strange indications...
