Due to the NT4 domain that the CW2000 server belonged to being decomissioned the causer account has effectively been deleted.
This has caused the CW services to fail to start.
C:\>net start crmdmgtd
The CW2000 Daemon Manager service is starting.
The CW2000 Daemon Manager service could not be started.
The service did not report an error.
I tried to re-run the CD One instalaltion but CW won't run the install " A downgrade of CW2000 Process Management package would occur if available version is used".
Obviously there is data in CW that I want to keep. Is there any way I can restore or reset the causer account, assuming this is the problem?
This is from the NT event log.
The NGeniusServer service failed to start due to the following error:
The service did not start due to a logon failure.
Thanks

NGeniusServer service is for RTM application only and not for CW2K and has no connection with casuser account.

But 'common services' won't start! I don't even use nGenius but I thought the message might help.
I'll just spend the morning re-installing then.
Thanks anyway.
