realtek RTL8118SBL NIC don't work at 10Mbps on 2950

When a port from the catalyst 2950 is set to 10Mbps, we obtain erratic connexions with such 10/100/1000 lan adapters also set to 10Mbps.

I can't find any informations about such problems with realtek's chips, can anyone help me ?

Re: realtek RTL8118SBL NIC don't work at 10Mbps on 2950

1) Make sure that the latest and correct driver is installed on the NIC. Go to the NIC vendor website and download/install the latest driver.

Here is the link for NIC compatibility troubleshooting

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps700/products_tech_note09186a00800a7af0.shtml#gen_tr_10_100

2) If the NIC has options for flowcontrol and power management, please disable all.

3) Please check the straight through cabling. Here are 2 links for cable check:

4) You might be running into the bug ID CSCdz32789. Make sure the IOS code you are running is the latest version for the 2950.
